Mr. and Mrs. Carter!!!

So married life is good..it's grand..it's fabulous even!  Anthony & I spent a short honeymoon up North, in areas that will remain unnamed and unknown (except by those who got it out of us), and we arrived back home Monday night so I could start my summer accounting class on Tuesday.  While some may think that a 2.5 day honeymoon is somewhat of a cop-out, we get to make it up when we go on Honeymoon Part Deux to Chicago over the Fourth of July.

Grace and Anthony's thoughts:
  • Obviously, Rochester "didn't get it done" which is why we shopped at IKEA and had to declare housewares when we crossed back over the border.
  • Canadian drivers do not feel the urgency to merge when they drive.  Instead, they take some leisurely time to ride the merging lane all the way to the end at a slower speed than the rest of traffic and only then do they signal and switch lanes.
  • Grace snores (this is a lie).
  • Don't drive in large cities during lunchtime.
  • An IKEA in a city/town is a good indication that you probably want to live there.
  • Two people can eat a decent meal at IKEA for around $15.
  • Canadian cats are gigundous.
  • Weddings shouldn't take place in Holiday Inn's...mostly so the other guests don't have to deal with drunk guests frattering about at 2 A.M.
  • Buffalo cable stinks.
  • The QEW isn't as scary as it may seem...you just have to trust in the GPS.
  • On our honeymoon, we almost spent more money on tolls than we did on food (this is not a joke).
  • Leave early or don't leave at all. Otherwise you may hit random Buffalo marathons and have to drive around the city to get out, or enter massive cities at lunchtime when people are antsy and hungry (not a good combo).
  • Marriage-dom is great.
...possibly to be continued...
