Christmas time...it's a lovely time of year - especially here in Rochester where we never have a white Christmas. Oh wait!! Except maybe this year, because we are currently in the midst of our second fairly major snowstorm since December 1st. It started snowing December 1st and it really hasn't quit snowing since. Today's high is supposed to be 17 degrees, but the wind chill is about 0 to 5 below...brrrr. According to the "special weather statement" for Monroe County, this snow is supposed to last through Wednesday afternoon, it's pretty heavy right now, and the roads weren't in very good shape this morning. Many schools and businesses are canceling evening activities and the like - except MCC of course, because MCC students can tough it out...or something like that. Walking into school today, I'm pretty sure my nose hairs almost froze..and there was snow pelting my face...and they don't plow the parking lots so I had to walk through 2 inches of snow...these are the reasons I am super excited that Friday is my last day of MCC and I no longer have to deal with their silliness and non-plowed parking lots. Yay!!
But I digress...
So this is the early Christmas gift my mom made us:
My mom cross-stitched the ornament and put it on cardboard I think so it's nice and solid. I've always loved Christmas trees, even though we don't get a real one anymore. My job is to put the lights on the tree - although I heard I might get let go from that position because my mom is interested in getting a pre-lit tree...oh well.
And one other "Christmas" thing - we took our annual trip to Stokoe Farm, so here are some photos for you to enjoy:
Kelly being adorable as always
Santa's reindeer that they took captive...Dasher didn't like Kelly at all..
Feeding the donkey
Anthony and Kelly. 'nuff said
Ok, we look ready to rob a bank..
Kelly enjoying the cookie that I snuck for her :)
Then we went home and hung ornaments on the tree..
So I hope that was somewhat enjoyable for you...to get you all in the spirit of Christmas, I found this song to make you smile:
Great pics from Stokoe Farms, especially the one of Kelly eating the cookie.
ReplyDeleteAre you still going to come over and put the lights on the tree even when you and Anthony move out?
